Breakfast is available in your room whenever you want; simply order it at the front desk the night before. The guesthouse's new restaurant is located just 3 blocks away and specialises in pizza, pasta and barbecued and charcoal-grilled foods. The restaurant’s menus also feature other Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant’s opening times are available at the front desk. A soft drink, a beer or a glass of wine is given to all guests on the day of check-in. The hostel has a superb location, right in the very heart of Madrid. It is just 20 metres away from the city’s Plaza Mayor, in a pedestrian area. Puerta del Sol, one of the busiest and most well known places in Madrid, is just a couple of blocks away. Madrid’s world famous Gran Via and all of its shops and boutiques are only 5 minutes walk away. The Royal Palace, the Real Theatre and Almudena Cathedral are just a 10-minute stroll from the hostel. The convenient, central location also means that the hostel is well served by public transport, making it easy for you to explore the whole of the city and the surrounding area. Sol Metro station is just 3 blocks away, offering fast, convenient access to Madrid’s underground train network.TRAVEL INFORMATION
However you are coming to our hostel, we suggest that you print the little map in the photo gallery. From Madrid-Barajas Airport: By Taxi: Taking 20-30 minutes. Ask the taxi driver to take you via Avenida de America, along Calle Serrano, then to Calle Alcala to the famous Puerta del Sol. NB. If you arrive by taxi, you need to pay only what the taxi meter indicates; all additional charges are specified in English and Spanish on the passenger window. By Metro: Taking about 40 minutes. Take line 8 to Nuevos Ministrios station then change to line 10 as far as Tribunal. Here, change again to line 1 and exit at Sol station. By Bus: Taking about 40 minutes, this costs about EUR 2 per person. Bus number 200, from all airport terminals, takes you to Intercambiador de Avenida de America”(right in front of Avenida de America Metro station). Change to Metro line 4 until you reach Goya station, then change to line 2 to Sol station. From Atocha Train Station: By Taxi (see note above): Taking about 10 minutes. Ask the taxi driver to go down Calle Atocha. By Metro: Taking about 15 minutes, Metro line 1 will take you straight to Sol station. From Chamartin Train Station: By Taxi (see note above): Taking about 20 minutes. Ask the taxi driver to go along Paseo de la Castellana, then to Fontana Cibeles, then to Calle Alcala until Puerta del Sol. By Metro: Taking about 25 minutes you can take Metro line 10 to Tribunal station, then line 1 to Sol station. From Puerta del Sol: Once you are at the famous Puerta del Sol, consult the map to get to the hostel. It takes 2 minutes on foot.DESCRIPTION
